It is weekend! Is it just me or are the weekends just so much better than any other day in the week? To celebrate this wonderful day I thought it would be cool to post something that would bring a smile on your face. And Jeff Dunham definitely puts a smile on my face. I never used to like puppets until I saw some of his video’s. I never get sick of seeing him with his puppets. It is just so hilarious. I hope you enjoy this video and I also hope you will enjoy your weekend.

I just watched the movie Norbit, a romantic comedy with funny man Eddie Murphy. Eddie Murphy did another great job of playing all these different characters in the movie. At first I thought it was a bit ‘old news’ that Eddie Murphy was doing that again. Kind of made me wonder if the bosses made Murphy do it to justify his probably insane paycheck. But I have to admit, the amount of times I was laughing my butt off made it worth it.
Synopsis: It’s Eddie Murphy ‘as you love to see him!’ in this gut-bustingly funny movie that displays his comedic genius in multiple roles! Murphy star as mild-mannered Norbit, who gets a second chance at love with his childhood sweetheart, Kate (Thandie Newton, The Pursuit of Happyness). But there’s one huge obstacle: jealous, mean-tempered Rasputia (Murphy), who wants Norbit all to her sizeable self. Can Norbit win the heart of Kate…before Rasputia puts the hurt on him? With an all-star cast including Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry Maguire), Marlon Wayans (White Chicks) and Eddie Griffin (Date Movie), Norbit ‘will make you laugh ’til you cheer!’
One of the parts I absolutely loved is the part in the waterpark and Rasputia shows “How a b*tch goes off a waterslide”. I was laughing so hard that I thought I was running out of air. All in all it is a good movie to spend a boring afternoon or evening with. Just be careful when you drink something or it will be spraying out of your nose before you know it.
Have you seen the movie Knocked Up? I have finally seen it and have to admit that I am a little bit disappointed with it. Why is it that the previews always show the best parts of the movie?
Personally I found the movie a little bit unbelievable; as if a guy like him could get a successful girl like her. Okay, I realize that sounds a little snobbish, but come on… Then all of the sudden when she’s pregnant she wants to pick up a relationship? Yeah right!!! It does has some really funny parts in it though, so I didn’t mind it too much.
Plot summary: Slobby Ben and up and coming career girl Alison meet at a bar, and end up having a one night stand. Eight weeks later, Ben is shocked when Alison meets him and reveals that she is pregnant. Despite having little in common, the two decide that they have to at least try to make some kind of relationship work for the baby’s sake.
Have you seen the movie? What did you think of it?
I think I’m turning into a movie junkie. Boredom and the inability to work drives me bonkus every now and then. So what’s a girl to do? Shop till your drop is not an option, I already read heaps of books, spending my whole day on the internet is no good either, going to the gym only takes up 2 hours of the day maximum, so there’s lots of time left.
The other day I watched a movie about The Notorious Betty Page - “The pin-up sensation that shocked the nation”. The plot summary according to Wikipedia is as follows:
As a teen, Bettie Page is a smart, plucky girl with ambitions beyond her Tennessee roots but is actually quite innocent. Suffering varying degrees of abuse from her father, her first husband, and suitors of dubious virtue, Page makes her way to New York City, where an amateur photographer discovers her lounging on the beach. It is not long before images of the shapely brunette reach Irving and Paula Klaw, brother-and-sister entrepreneurs who publish illicit magazines dedicated to men’s fetishes. The casual nudist Page eventually finds herself acquiescing to their requests to don thigh-high boots, whips, and chains, which raise the ire of the smut-fearing senator Estes Kefauver.
Personally I thought the movie was alright. Nothing spectacular, just very interesting to see a movie about her life. It is funny to watch how people were shocked by the kind of pictures they took in those days, while at this time of age they would probably be considered dull, even the bondage pictures. Times are certainly changing! The most interesting thing was that in the end Betty Page becomes a devout Christian, but doesn’t regret that she has taken her clothes off before the camera. According to her people became sinners when they started to put clothes on.
