MySpace friends requests

MySpaceI know there are a lot of different opinions about sending and accepting MySpace friends requests. Some people will only accept you if they know you, some people will only accept you if you send a message first and others accept anyone just for the sake of extending their friends list as if it’s a big popularity contest.

I first joined up with MySpace because a bunch of other girls of a forum I used to visit had profiles there and they lured me into it. I was only interested in talking to them so I didn’t accept friends requests of people I didn’t know in one way or another. But these days I have changed…

People are just too interesting to turn them down without even trying to get to know them. I met this gay guy with blue hair who has the most interesting views of the world. I can talk to him about religion for hours and not get bored for one second. MySpace is a great way to meet new people, but I now have my own friends requests policy. I will not accept anyone unless they actually intend to ‘talk’ to me. So no messages… no acceptance!

I think it’s a fair policy. If people do send a friends request without a message I always contact them, asking how they’re doing, etc. If I don’t get a reply, their friends request goes down the drain! That way you can filter a lot of spam profiles.

Do you accept every friends request or do you have your own policy?

I heart Mr. Whippy

I have a little crush on Mr. Whippy!! Every Sunday Mr. Whippy comes into our street to sell ice cream to whining children… and me. I can hear the ice cream truck from miles away. The music is simple, but very effective. Whenever I hear his music it’s like golden rays of sunshine break through dark clouds and brighten up the entire world.

Yes, Mr. Whippy brings out the inner child in me. The inner child that wants to dance to the music that is coming out of the truck, the inner child that wants to spoil itself with nice ice cream, the inner child that is silly and thinks that if Mr. Whippy became president he could solve all world problems with his ice cream.

Mr. Whippy I heart you!!!! I am counting down the days until he comes again…

Paid TV is doing my head in… again!

Paid TV (Foxtel) totally sucks!!! Not only do they repeat the same old shit over and over, but now they had me totally stressed out because I could not order a main event or any box office movies.

Last month I tried to order a main event on the day the main event was airing. All of the sudden I could not order it because you have to order it three days ahead. I never ever had to order it three days ahead before, but to make a long story short I missed out on the main event.

Missing out on the main event really pissed me off so I decided to order it three days ahead just in case. I did not want to miss out this time. When I rang three days ahead I could not order the main event because their system was down. For three days I kept ringing and trying to order it in the hope they had sorted their shit out, but no… No such luck!

The main event was coming closer and closer until I was ringing to see repeats of the main event (they show it for 24 hours). They kept telling me I couldn’t order. Then, after dozens of phone calls, I finally had someone on the phone who received a memo about it, but he could not remember what was in the memo nor could he find the memo. *Sigh* Hopeless those people!!

Half an hour before the last repeat of the main event started, we rang again. This time they told us we could order if we knew our account number. But… I had no clue where the paper with the account number was, so we were racing through the house to find the paper. After 15 minutes we had it. So we rang back again and got put on hold for another 5 minutes.

But that was not all… Not only did they need our account number, we also had to pull the smart card out of the receiver for the number on the card. Then they needed the number on the bottom of the receiver and so on. The only thing they didn’t ask us was to stand on our head while touching our nose trying to do a somersault.

One minute before the main event we finally were able to order it. With all the hassle we had to go through just to order it they should have just given the main event to us for free!

Hanging out the dirty laundry

The next video is made by Tricia Walsh and is posted on YouTube. In this video she’s hanging out the dirty laundry about her divorce from her rich husband. It certainly is an interesting way to get revenge. Do you think it is a case of girl power or a case of insanity?

You judge for yourself…
